Privacy Policy
Linked Wellbeing is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your data.
Who we are
The service is offered to organisations (e.g. credit unions, employers) who provide it to their members or employees. We act as a data processor for your organisation where applicable; the organisation is the data controller for the programme.
Data we collect and why
We collect and process the following:
- Account details — name, email, life stage.
- Data you enter in the tools — budgets, savings goals, emergency fund, net worth, health check answers and scores, mortgage-related inputs.
- Technical data — IP address, login times.
We use this to provide the service, personalise your dashboard and content, and improve the product. We do not sell your data.
AI-powered summaries
Where enabled, the platform offers AI-generated natural-language summaries to help you understand your financial picture. We handle your data with strict privacy safeguards:
- No personal data is shared — We do not send your name, email, or any other personally identifying details to the AI model.
- Aggregated metrics only — The AI prompt only contains anonymous, high-level metrics, such as category totals (e.g., total housing expenses), progress scores, and ratios.
- Secure processing — Prompts are processed using secure enterprise API endpoints. The AI provider is contractually bound not to use your data to train public models.
- No automated financial advice — AI summaries are provided for informational and motivational purposes only and do not constitute regulated financial advice.
Retention
We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your profile and associated data as described in the account deletion flow.
Some data may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g. anonymised analytics).
Sub-processors and security
We use trusted providers for hosting, email and (where enabled) authentication. Sub-processors are chosen with care and required to protect your data.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data secure. Access to sensitive data is logged for security and compliance (audit logging).
Your rights
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. You may also have rights under applicable law, including:
- Access to your data
- Rectification of inaccurate data
- Erasure of your data
- Data portability
- Objection to certain processing
Contact us or your organisation to exercise them.
